Climate Change and Tourism

Saturday, June 14, 2008

Much has been written and predictions are running hot on the likely affects of Climate Change on our industry.

The cost of Carbon Trading is unknown, but it is a safe bet to assume that this will add costs to operations and these will end up being passed on to consumers.

Schemes abound and the SA Tourism Alliance is shortly launching a major program on this site in conjunction with EC3 Global - Green Globe and Earthcheck, all backed by the Sustainable Tourism CRC.

What do you think of the likely affect on your business, are you already preparing to get involved in changing the way you do business or will you just keep on doing what works for you?
